I will stamp all over 'legitimate fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the pair came face-to-face to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.
Former two time unified title holder Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I'm going to break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
Despite such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually known for his dramatics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK opponent Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Opponent
Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.
Financial Success
However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, frequently receiving huge financial rewards.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old anticipated a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would derail the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul met for the traditional confrontation, with their height and weight contrast on show, it drove home just how improbable this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is truly happening.
